Sharon Assa-Hilleli is an Israeli Independent Performer, choreographer
and dance teacher. Since 2012 lives and creates in Berlin.
Graduated from the Dance - Performing Arts, kibbutzim Collage Tel- Aviv (B.Ed, 1997). In 2001 she completed her MA in arts education from the University of Leeds, uk (awarded with distinction).Was honored on her MA work investigates "The role of the image in teaching dance technique" Aspects such as precision of action, sense of wholeness, awareness and individual study, encouraging personal discovery and interpretation.
Dancer in "Tamar" Company (1989-1992) Directed by Zvi Gotheiner and Amir Kolben). 1993-1995 she moved to New-York. Studied at the Dancespace center. worked and preformed with different choreographers. Laurie De Vito, Twyla Tharp
Since 1995, along with her academic study, she creating her own work for stage and videodance and had the pleasure to collaborate and preformed with Choreographers in Israel and Europe. Emmanuel Grivet, Amos Hetz, Arie Burstein, Nimrod Fried, Shlomit Fundominsky a.o). Dancing and creating with "Octet" a group of artists investigating improvisation and its combination with music and Text (2006-2009).
Since 2002 She Teaches contemporary dance, composition and improvisation at the Dance-Art department in "Wingate" College and in "Ramot- Hefer" high School. Enhancing dance technique with the Feldenkrais, Pilates and Yoga Methods and recently axis syllabus.
Recently freelance dancer and choreographer, part of the "Migration Project-Berlin", teaching in Berlin at Tanzfabrik, Dock11, Sasha Waltz & Guests.
Since 2014 she lives in Israel.
Director of the dance Department at the dialoge school - ramot yam. Teaching contemporary and composition for the Matriculation exams and wingate collage. Creating her own work, preforming in collaboration with artists and sharing her approach to dance through workshops in Israel and in Europe.

Speaking of Dance seeks to define, learn, observe and conceptualize principles, but above all is a journey. Its fulfillment takes place by experiencing it in our body - in its wholeness. Moments of strong sense of existence and observation. This is my personal experience and what I wish to share throw teaching . Training is a lesson about investigation , revelations , agreement, sensing, being in the moment. Recognize patterns of movement and of thought .
Trough being aware, altering habits and achieving improvement , in our body as well as in our life. Being creatively and alive.
By learning and teaching I explore what and how to teach in the context of motor , intellectual and emotional aspects. Trying to combine the logic of the movement with holistic experience – enabling integration between thought, feelings, emotions and action -unity of mind, body and spirit . Teaching is a dialogue that invites self interpretation and discoveries. As a teacher, I believe in offering options - organizing principles, to enable the dancers to be more clear in his "say" and his movement. As for technique, I'm interested in ways to get organic movement without extra mussels efforts – to modulate effort in its officiate way. Tuning for optimal organization of the body, searching for images that invite the dance to take place within the body. Imagination as catalysts for changing motor-movement behavior.
I am a mother to Adva, Yoav and Nadav ,who are a source of inspiration for authenticity and creativity, and are teaching me about freedom and listening. Partner to Sagi, who enrich and accompanies the ongoing investigation process.

אני אימא לאדווה יואב ונדב שהם מקור השראה לאוטנטיות וליצירתיות (ומלמדים אותי על חופש והקשבה), בת זוג לשגיא שמזין ומתלווה לכל מסעות החקירה . מורה ותלמידה , יוצרת ורוקדת.
